Yes Dan, you do indeed get cool points. Especially since I don't think I had any idea you liked Star Trek Voyager. Bravo sir.

Wish I had read this in time to say Captain Janeway first! Do I get cool points if I knew the fiancee's name was Mark? :)

@Michael - You only get partial kudos because she didn't say it to anyone named Johnson. :-)

@Kelsey Little - You were up late last night! Yet even in the wee hours of the morning, you make perfect logical sense. I had never really thought of it as men/women vs males/females, but that's a good point. Those that give in the baser instincts seeking only sexual fulfillment and not emotional fulfillment are often of a completely different personality type than those who want more than immediate gratification.

I don't know the source of the quote, no cool points for me.
But I do now how to use the internet search engines.
The answer is;
Star Track Voyager Caretaker episode - Captain Kathryn Janeway is talking to her fiancé.

Real men/women seek a loving relationship, males/females seek sexual relationships. Trust me there is a difference, have you ever heard the remark, "men always are thinking with the wrong head" and the other "women are to emotional and don't use enough logic". I do agree with the body of info you are giving, I read in an article that stated, "that adults, on average, start a sexual relationship on the third date". How said is that!
I have found allot of people just don't want to be alone and are not strong enough to get out of a relationship that is going no where or in a direction they don't want to go. They just want someone in their life, they want to feel loved/needed by someone. Remember the soggy potato chip analogy. "If you can't have a fresh crisp potato chip you will take a soggy one, you just have to have the potato chip good or bad".
